Simply the Best(ival)
Bestival lived up to its namesake this year. It was, put simply, the definitive best. Ok, I have nothing to compare it to, but the sunny Isle of Wight, fancy dress (space theme, from paper mache aliens to every hot Jetson you could think of) to myriad bands made this one of the best weekends I've had in the UK to date. So many good bands but some newer highlights for me were Ou est la Swimming Pool, Golden Silvers, Man Like Me, Buraka Som Systema as well as the more obvious candidates like Bat for Lashes.
